Prof. Li Baojun's team in JNU's Institute of Nanophotonics has published a paper titled “On-chip ultrasensitive and rapid hydrogen sensing based on plasmon-induced hot electron–molecule interaction” in Light: Science & Applications. The team developed a hydrogen sensor with high sensitivity and response speed, an on-chip combination of photocatalysis, plasmonic optics and photoelectric detection, based on the interfacial interaction of plasmonic hot electrons modulated by gas molecules on the metal surface. The sensor can function at room temperature and with zero bias. The first author is Prof. Wen Long, and the corresponding author is Prof. Chen Qin.
