Members of a JNU team supporting Wuyi University and associate researcher Feng Tianhua's research group in the electronic engineering department of JNU's College of Information Science and Technology, in collaboration with Prof. Zhang Xing of the Joint Lab of Digital Optical Chips at Wuyi University, have reported significant progress in micro-nano photoacoustic devices. Their research results, titled Compact ring resonators of silicon nanorods for strong optomechanical interaction,”have been published in Nanoscale (CAS TOP Journal, IF=8.307), an international authoritative journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in nanoscience and technology. Wang Fugen, a postgraduate researcher in the electronic engineering department, is the first author. Feng is the corresponding author, and the Joint Lab is one of the corresponding author units.

Feng's research group previously proposed and studied the enhancement of acousto-optic interaction by means of micro-nano acousto-optic waveguide structure. (Relevant findings were published in Optics Letters, the second regional journal of Chinese Academy of Sciences, IF=3.776.) Since this structure entails a long distance for light to travel, it is not conducive to producing high-density integrated chips.
Since January 2022, five members of the JNU support team at Wuyi University have actively promoted a new round of group-style support work for talent cultivation in higher education. Leaders of the two universities have recognized their achievements focusing on teaching and research, postgraduate training, student science and technology innovation, and academic exchange. Based on the high-level scientific research cooperation with Wuyi University, the support team members will continue to assist and promote the construction of major scientific research and innovation platforms such as the Joint Lab.
