The second Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Forum on Chinese Cultural Communication, sponsored by JNU's School of Journalism and Communication and its Research Center for National Discourse and Global Communication, was held online on Nov. 27.
The theme was Cultural Communication and Digital Communication. Several experts, scholars and representatives of teachers and students from JNU attended.
At the opening ceremony, in the context of the Greater Bay Area's construction, JNU Deputy Party Secretary Sun Yu described a series of achievements made in the development of the Greater Bay Area in recent years, as well as JNU's contribution in promoting cultural exchanges and integration among mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. He pointed out that the forum's purpose was to fully mobilize the theoretical energy and problem awareness of humanities and social sciences, so as to find the path and contribute wisdom to the spread of Chinese culture in the Greater Bay Area.
In the keynote session, eight famous scholars from Tsinghua University, the University of Macau, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, JNU and other universities discussed issues related to the communication of Chinese culture in combination with the culture, society and communication in the Greater Bay Area.

This forum included subforums on media development and national identity; cultural communication and cultural exchange; social communication and cultural exploration; and film and television development and media culture, Nearly 60 scholars from all over China discussed related issues.
