The JNU 983 High-Level Athletes Training Fund has received 10 million yuan to support the cultivation of high-level athletes with patriotism, enthusiasm and competitive spirit, as of the fourth JNU Charity Forum and the fund's donation ceremony of on Sept. 29. Donations came from celebrities from Hong Kong, Macao and overseas, as well as enterprises, institutions and social organizations in the sports, fitness and education industries.
The forum, based on the Academy + Public Welfare pattern, connects government, public welfare organizations and alumni associations in China and abroad in contributing to building the public welfare community of a shared future for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with the characteristics of famous universities, famous enterprises and famous foundations.”
Physical education is one of the fine traditions and characteristics of JNU, said JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng. He said the fund and the licensing of strategic partners and training bases of the Su Bingtian's Speed Research and Training Center had helped build a JNU sports commonweal ecosystem.

At the ceremony, Lin accepted a check board on behalf of the school foundation and issued certificates to the donors. He and JNU Prof. Su Bingtian, the well-known sprinter, jointly presented souvenirs to the donors.
Huo Qiwen, vice president of the real estate and construction company Huo Yingdong Group, spoke as a representative of the donors. I was born in a family that loves sports, he said. “Since my grandfather Huo Yingdong, our family has been deeply attached to sports. He pointed out that both his grandfather and his father, Huo Zhenhuan, were JNU trustees and had deep feeling for the university.
Jianlibao Group and Dr. Jiang Health Shoes have reached a strategic partnership with the center, and the ceremony for licensing the center's strategic partner and training base was also held. Affiliated Schools of JNU for Hong Kong and Macao Students in Guangdong and Dongguan have become the center's training base.

Also held that day were face-to-face exchanges with Olympic champions and a sports industry roundtable forum.
