The research, led by the JNU team, relies on JNU's Key Laboratory of CNS Regeneration. It is also supported by Academician Su Guohui at JNU and Prof. Billy KC Chow at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Associate Researcher Zhang Li is the corresponding author. The first authors are Wei Ji’an, a doctoral student jointly cultivated by HKU and JNU, and Han Qing and Luo Zhihua, JNU doctoral students. This project was funded by Ministry of Science and Technology's major science and technology projects for brain science and brainlike research, the National Natural Science Foundation and Guangzhou's brain science project.
The National Science Review, sponsored by Chinese Academy of Sciences, is on the list of leading journals of the Action Plan for Excellent Scientific and Technological Journals of China.
