Prof. Lou Zaizhu and Associate Prof. Li Juan of JNU's Institute of Nanophotonics have reported important progress in the study of semiconductor plasmon-enhanced upconversion fluorescence with its application in cell imaging and photothermal therapy. Their research results have been published in the international academic journal Laser & Photonics Reviews.

Prof. Xue Can at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and Prof. Zhang Haipeng of the First Basic Medical College of JNU were also credited with significant contributions to this work.
