The teams of Prof. Zhu Mingshan and Prof. Guo Tuan in JNU's Institute of Photonics Technology have published a paper in Light: Science & Application (IF: 20.257) titled Operando optical fiber monitoring of nanoscale and fast temperature changes during photo-electrocatalytic reactions.
(Paper's Abstract)
The teams cooperatively proposed a high-sensitivity optical fiber comb heat measurement technology, which takes the lead in realizing the nanoscale, real-time, in situ and accurate measurement of the heat production process of liquid-solid interface catalytic reaction.
Li Zhi, a doctoral student at JNU, and Xiao Yongguang, a graduate student, are first authors, along with Liu Fu of Carleton University in Canada. Guo and Zhu are the corresponding authors. The research was conducted cooperatively by JNU, Carleton University and the Canadian Academy of Sciences.
Researchers say revealing the kinetic processes and laws of physical and chemical reactions of catalytic substances at the micro-surface interface is the key to promoting the development of advanced catalytic frontier basic science towards areas like energy, environment, and life.
The research is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Grant No. 62035006)
