Yang Shuyue, a JNU student from Hong Kong, is familiar with Hong Kong's historical celebrities, scenic spots, delicacies and marketplaces. She was accepted as a doctoral student in journalism and communication in 2019. As a former journalist at TVB and Phoenix Satellite TV in Hong Kong and vice president of the Voice of Tian Jin in Hong Kong, Yang has been reporting stories about Hong Kong for many years. 

In her academic life, Yang cultivates her professional abilities. As a result, she has succeeded in becoming a host of Hong Kong Satellite TV (HKS).

To attract more people to learn about Hong Kong's history, geography and culture, Yang has begun to write travel columns for Hong Kong newspapers and shoot vlogs to introduce Hong Kong's scenic spots and cultural history, gaining many followers online.

Apart from introducing them to the history and culture of Hong Kong, Yang also established and organized a community called Ai Gang Piao for people from mainland China working in Hong Kong. This community provides a platform for young people in Hong Kong to exchange ideas, organize activities and strengthen emotional connection.

Yang returned to JNU for her Ph.D. after four years there as an undergraduate. She has continued to study hard and make unrelenting efforts to tell the story of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and introduce its new cultural aspects.

During her doctoral study, she joined Shenghai Studio, a charitable project established by young anchors in the Greater Bay Area. In this studio, Yang participated in the whole process of project planning, personnel liaison, writing and broadcasting. This project focuses on the latest developments in innovation and entrepreneurship among young people in Hong Kong; explores stories and lifestyles of the Greater Bay Area; and creates a good atmosphere for public opinion in the Greater Bay Area. In 2021, at the Understanding China International Conference (Guangzhou) Youth Sub-Forum, Yang won the opportunity to host on site with her high standards and professional performance.
