A JNU team led by Prof. Hu Yong, director of the Big Data Decision Institute, has published a paper in JAMA Network Open (IF= 13.366). The title is Development and Validation of a Personalized Model with Transfer Learning for Acute Kidney Injury Risk Estimation Using Electronic Health Records. Hu is the corresponding author, and Liu Kang, a current Ph.D. student, is the first author.
JAMA Network Open, a comprehensive subsidiary of the top-tier Journal of the American Medical Association, mainly publishes original research on major global medical research progress (prediction, prevention, personalization and participation). The paper is the first study published in the three top medical journals (JAMA, Lancet and The New England Journal of Medicine) and their sub journals of personalized disease estimation through artificial intelligence using electronic health records.

With more than 10 years' experience in new-generation artificial intelligence, the Big Data team has conducted in-depth research in personalized modeling, causal learning, transfer learning, federated learning, reinforcement learning and intelligent integrated decision-making, forming its own innovative new-generation artificial intelligence algorithm system. The research was supported mainly by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Major Science and Technology Projects, and the Guangdong Engineering Technology Research Center of Big Data Precision Health.
