JNU held its 2022 Lianyu Cup ACM Programming Contest on May 14, sponsored by the College of Information Science and Technology and hosted by its Department of Computer Science.
With competitors from Wuyi University's Faculty of Intelligent Manufacturing, the contest is JNU's largest competition. Over 200 students from 72 teams participated, including 50 JNU teams (6 are from the Zhuhai campus) and 22 from Wuyi.
This contest follows the competition system of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) and the China Collegiate Programming Contest (CCPC). Teams of one to three members need to answer 13 questions within a limited time. Balloons were placed on each team's table in colors denoting different questions and showing how many have been answered. Teams with the same number of balloons are ranked according to the time invested in the questions. The less time spent on the questions, the higher the team’s ranking.
