IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (IEEE TVCG), a top international journal in computer graphics and visualization, has accepted and published the latest research results of a virtual reality team from JNU’s College of Information Science and Technology/College of Cyber Security and the Guangdong Institute of Smart Education. The paper is titled “Effects of Transfer Functions and Body Parts on Body-Centric Locomotion in Virtual Reality.” The first author is Prof. Gao Boyu, an associate professor in the College of Cyber Security, and the second author is Mai Zijun, a master’s degree candidate at JNU. The research was completed in cooperation with Assistant Prof. Huawei Tu and Prof. Henry Duh of La Trobe University in Australia.

IEEE TVCG, which focuses on cutting-edge research in computer graphics and visualization, is listed as a class-A journal by the Chinese Computer Federation and is a top journal in SCI Quartile 1 of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IF=4.579). The research was supported by the Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the General Program of the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation and other programs.
