JNU has launched a special campaign at both the university and the college levels to implement a significant student employment project and improve faculty participation in graduates' employment. From April 19 to 20, JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng, President Song Xianzhong, and directors of colleges and functional departments approached 32 enterprises online in search of employment opportunities for graduates.
Lin and his team had in-depth talks with representatives of 11 key enterprises, including China Resources Power, Ernst & Young's Guangzhou office, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., and Nanfang Media Group. On behalf of JNU, Lin expressed his gratitude to the employers for their support and help; presented JNU's history and achievements in talent cultivation; and listened to their needs and suggestions on JNU talent training. He also said he expected further cooperation between JNU and enterprises, with the joint establishment of a sustainable cooperation model to constantly improve the quality of talent cultivation, solve students’ employment problems effectively and guarantee smooth employment for graduates.

Song and his delegation conducted online communication with 11 important companies that hire JNU graduates, including Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company, Guangdong Hongfa Group, Guangzhou Boguan Telecommunication Technology, Ltd., PricewaterhouseCoopers's Guangzhou office, and Tencent Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., to increase jobs for JNU graduates. He pointed out that employment was the biggest issue in people's wellbeing and JNU's key task. He said he sincerely hoped that both schools and enterprises would maintain positive interaction and jointly establish a normalized cooperation mechanism for talent-training and employment linkage; give full play to both parties' resources and technical advantages; cooperatively explore the employment and education model; and deepen the connection between supply and demand to achieve mutual development.

The JNU Party Committee's deputy secretary, Sun Yu, led a team to carry out special visits to the enterprises funded by investors from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese nationals. The team communicated with 10 major corporations, including Harvest Global Capital Investments Ltd., China Everbright Environment Group Ltd., Deloitte Financial Services (Southern China), and GF Holdings (Hong Kong) Corp. Ltd. Sun said JNU would further make full use of government, enterprise and alumni resources and launch more targeted cooperation to improve the overall quality and employment competitiveness of JNU graduates from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
By July 1, JNU will have visited more than 500 employing units, of which Lin, Song and the school administrators visiting no fewer than 100, further deepening the school-enterprise connection. Through a strategy of going out and inviting in and the combination of online and offline approaches, JNU will explore enterprise resources; expand employment positions to ensure that the special campaign for visiting enterprises and generating employment has achieved practical results; and promote graduates' fuller employment with higher quality.
