Prof. Chen Gang's team in JNU's Interdisciplinary Institute for Personalized Medicine in Brain Disorders and School of Chinese Medicine has published a paper with high level in the British Journal of Pharmacology (BJP) (IF= 8.74). The title is Synergistic effects of two natural compounds of iridoids on rapid antidepressant action by up-regulating hippocampal PACAP signaling. As a prestigious journal of pharmacology in Journal Citation Reports (JCR) Quartile 1, BJP has rarely published basic research papers on compound prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine in its 70-year history. The first author is Zhang Hailou, a doctoral student in integration of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. The research director is Chen, the institute’s principal. The corresponding author is Prof. Wu Haoxin of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine.
