Five students from room 708 in the dorm of JNU's Institute for Economic and Social Research have sketched a blueprint for their bright future. Each has been accepted to graduate school, with some receiving multiple offers.

Get a postgraduate recommendation for Master of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics
When Yang was a sophomore, she won JNU's Huang Qianheng and Excellent Undergraduate Scholarships. Last year, she won the second prize in JNU's Challenge Cup.

Qi Yechang from Hunan Province dreams of becoming an excellent economist. She won the Undergraduate Merit Scholarship in 2019, second prize in the Guangdong Mathematical Contest in Modeling that same year and the Excellent Student Cadre Scholarship in 2020. Her project “Exploration and Research on the Elder Care Mode of Migrant Population and Left-Behind in Rural Areas” was supported by the 2020 Climbing Program of Guangdong, also called the Special Funds for Guangdong Science and Technology Innovation.

As the only arts student in room 708, she won the Excellent Student Cadre Scholarship as a sophomore. Her project “Research on the Recognition and Influencing Factors of Human Papilloma Virus 9-Valent Vaccine Among Women Under the Appropriate Age for Vaccination,” was ranked as a school project in the National College Students’ innovation and entrepreneurship training program in 2021. In addition, her project “Can Education Be Achieved Without Distinction? An Empirical Analysis Based on a Tracking Survey on Education in China” was ranked as a national project in 2020.
