JNU held a farewell ceremony for two female students who enlisted in the army in the first half of March 2022. Sun Yu, deputy secretary of the JNU Party Committee, and other leaders attended.

On behalf of the university, Sun congratulated the two women presenting them with red flowers and gifts, and praised their spirit of not being left behind men. He said he hoped that they could adapt to military life and transform from students to soldiers as soon as possible.

The women expressed their gratitude to JNU leaders and teachers, saying that they would work hard after joining the army, give full play to students' advantages as soldiers, strive to improve their comprehensive quality, win glory for JNU and always live up to the expectations of JNU leaders and teachers.
