JNU President Song Xianzhong led a delegation to the Zhuhai Campus on March 15 for research and guidance. He held an on-the-spot office meeting to promote a new round of strategic cooperation between the campus and Zhuhai city and to speed the campus's transformation and upgrading. At the meeting, Song and his delegation studied and deployed the second-phase construction of the JNU Science Park (Zhuhai), the planning of JNU's Zhuhai Research Institute and the campus's development.

After the contractor reported on the second-phase construction's duration, phases and schedule, Song proposed three requirements. First, he stressed closed-loop management on the construction site throughout the process to meet the strict epidemic prevention and control policy of the campus and the city. Second, he emphasized strict construction disciplines and standardized management to ensure construction safety. Finally, he emphasized proper arrangement of construction procedures to complete construction on schedule with high quality and safety.

Presiding over the office meeting, Song discussed with participants the overall plan, style, layout of the park and the planning of the institute. He provided guidance on planning and design.

After the meeting, Song consulted the campus's main leaders. They reached consensus on continuing to accelerate planning the institute, improving the educational environment, and facilitating talent introduction and cultivation. 

Before the meeting, Song and his delegation attended the unveiling ceremony of JNU's Affiliated Kindergarten in Zhuhai city's Xiangzhou district and participated in the flag-raising ceremony.
