A delegation led by Xue Xiaofeng, vice chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, visited the JNU History Museum, the World Overseas Chinese Archive and other campus locations on March 11. JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng met with the delegation, which conducted special research on how to promote cultural construction and enhance the leading role of culture in research, political consultation, service and other issues.

Xue fully affirmed JNU's major development achievements in recent years. He said he hoped the two sides would strengthen cooperation in think-tank construction, discipline development and talent training to promote Guangdong into a province with advanced culture.

Lin reported on the universitys achievements in recent years in promoting its cultural construction as a double first-class university. He focused on the university's efforts to improve its level of international communication, build a diversified international communication system of Chinese culture and build a high-end think tank.
At a symposium with representatives of the School of Literature and the library, Cheng Guofu, dean of the School of Literature, described the overall situation of the school and the Collaborative Innovation Center for the Inheritance and Communication of Chinese Culture in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas.
