To celebrate the 112th International Women's Day, vigorously promote classic Chinese traditional culture, and guide faculty women to experience its charm and improve their cultural awareness, the JNU Trade Union organized female staff representatives to attend traditional Lingnan culture study in Shunde Heyuan in Foshan on March 5. JNU Vice President Rao Min, chairwoman of the union, and more than 50 outstanding female faculty and staff representatives participated.

On behalf of the school's party and administrative leaders, Rao extended greetings and blessings for a happy International Women's Day. The activity was expected to strengthen communication and deliver the unique charm of the traditional Lingnan culture of Guangdong and nearby provinces in southeast China.

In a warm, festive atmosphere, the staff representatives enjoyed a dramatic performance and various experience projects, both intangible cultural heritages. Seeing fan painting and watching Cantonese opera, puppet and puppet shadow shows enhanced their understanding of Lingnan dramatic art, helped them relax physically and mentally, and encouraged them to devote themselves to teaching and research work with enthusiasm.
