JNU has been recognized as a Green School in Guangdong – a school applying sustainable development strategies – after an appraisal by the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Education, validated by the Guangdong Department of Education,

JNU has carried out the Green School initiative in accordance with the requirements of the Guangdong Department of Education and Provincial Development and Reform Commission. The university will continue to pursue novel ideas for its advancement as a Green School and comprehensively promote a conservation-oriented campus in the spirit of green culture based on its own characteristics.
