The inauguration ceremony of the Su Bingtian Center for Speed Research and Training was held at Jinan University on Dec. 27. Introducing the center, Prof. Su of the School of Physical Education said he would work hard to build it into a leading world-class comprehensive sprint training base in Asia.

Attending were Xu Ruisheng, deputy governor of the People's Government of Guangdong; Wang Yuping, party secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Sports Bureau; JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng; President Song Xianzhong, and other leaders and alumni representatives.
The center, directed by the Chinese Athletics Association, was built by the Guangdong Provincial Sports Bureau and JNU. It comprises the Analysis and Training Center for Athletic Performance, the Laboratory for Speed Ability and Functional Assessment, and the Modern Intelligent Sprint Training Base
Lin said JNU's leaders would fully leverage its advantages in basic research and multidisciplinary integration to build a world-class comprehensive sprint training base, striving to turn it into an academic base for the full, deep integration of competitive sports, mass sports and the sports industry in Guangdong and China.
Wang pointed out that the Center played a crucial role in accelerating the high-quality development of all aspects of sports in Guangdong.
