The fourth Guangdong-Taiwan Study Camp for College Students opened at JNU on Nov. 19. About 40 college students from Guangdong and Taiwan attended.
Yan Ke, president of the Guangdong Provincial Taiwanese Association, said youth groups had been actively bringing the mainland and Taiwan together since the opening of cross-strait civil exchanges, becoming a bridge for the same roots and interconnection for the two sides. He said he hoped they would continue to play the role of messengers of peace for “one family across the Taiwan Strait.”

Sun Yu, deputy secretary of the JNU Party Committee, said the camp not only provided an excellent opportunity for the students to learn and exchange views but also built an important platform for Taiwanese students to further understand mainland's history and achievements. He said he hoped the students from the mainland and Taiwan could get to know each other and work together to make progress.
After the ceremony, Prof. Wang Peng of JNU's School of Economics provided guidance in innovation and entrepreneurship and interpreted relevant policies for the students in a lecture titled “Innovative Economy and Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.”
