The signing and awarding ceremony of a joint construction education practice base between JNU's College of Chemistry and Materials Science and Wangsha Biological Technology Co., Ltd., was held on Nov. 19.
Chen Tianfeng, deputy dean of the college, said the college's powerful faculty and high-standard academic research capabilities shared much common ground with Wangsha. He said he hoped the co-construction could be a fresh start symbolizing new bilateral cooperation between the two sides. In January, the college will select undergraduates to send to Wangsha to initiate internships jointly cultivating new talents for the biotechnology and cosmetics industries.
Li Yuwu, president of Wangsha, extended a warm welcome to students from the college. He said this collaboration was of great significance, which was conducive for both sides to sharpen their competitive edges and foster highly skilled application talents for society and enterprises.

Chen and Xu Haili, a Wangsha stockholder, signed a cooperative agreement between JNU and the company in the presence of all participants. Then Chen awarded Wangsha a plaque that reads Jinan University Educational Practice Base.

XieYunbo, dean of Wangsha Science and Technology Research Institute, Li, Xu, and others gave an introduction to its research and development lab and led teachers presented to visit the company’s production line.

Established in November2006, Wangsha is a modern enterprise conducting R&D, production and sales of quality cosmetics with headquarters in Guangzhou's Huadu District and its factory in Qingyuan City, Guangdong. It has invested 200 million yuan in setting up a 5G smart cloud factory in the Guangqing industrial park, completing the establishment of a digital factory platform, a scientific research center and research institute, an intelligent manufacturing and producing workshop, and a digitalized streaming platform. Its annual output of cosmetics amounts to 100,000 units.
