The 10th JNU Entrepreneurship and Culture Festival began on Dec. 11 with the Project Review Meeting of the WE Create Hong Kong, Macao and Overseas Chinese Youth Zhongchuang Space and the Forum on Entrepreneurship. With the theme “With integration and innovation, JNU creates the future, the event opened with an entrepreneurship lecture and invited guests to share their opinions and stories about innovation and entrepreneurship and to exchange project experience.
JNU Vice President Weng Jian pointed out that since the WE Space was established five years ago, it has greatly developed. Such development, he said, is inseparable from sound policies and constructive strategies; professional service ability and intensive service content; the growth of students; and the distinctive character of Hong Kong and Macao. Weng said he hoped each project could further develop in the Space and make great achievements in the future.
Among the four projects, three are hosted by students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan or have such students as core members, demonstrating the role of WE Create Space as a bridge for students from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
At the festival's opening ceremony, 12 innovation and entrepreneurship mentors from both inside and outside the school were awarded mentor appointment letters.
