A team led by Prof. Tang Qunwei of JNU's College of Information Science and Technology reports great progress in the field of triboelectric sensor array for Internet of Things-based smart traffic monitoring and management. Its paper, “Triboelectric Sensor Array for Internet of Things-Based Smart Traffic Monitoring and Management System,” has been published in Nano Energy (IF=17.881). Associate Prof. Yang Xiya and two postdoctoral fellows, Liu Guangqing and Guo Qiyao, are the as first authors, with Tang and Yang as corresponding authors.

The research has been funded by the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong and other scientific research projects. In recent years, the research team composed of Tang, Yang and other faculty members has been working around key issues such as high-performance electret preparation, hybrid effect energy harvesting, and frictional charge density enhancement. They have been dedicated to the research and development of low-frequency mechanical energy conversion materials and sensor devices such as wave energy and human kinetic energy, and have achieved a series of original research results.
