Three teams from JNU's College of Science and Engineering won one first prize, two second prizes and the Excellent Organization Prize in the finals of the 22th Provincial Physics Experiment Design Competition for College Students at Shaoguan University from Nov. 13 to 14. The finals of the competition, initiated by Guangdong Physics Society and Shaoguan University, had 63 teams from 19 universities, including JNU, Sun Yat sen University, South China University of Technology and Shenzhen University. The first prize-winning team advances to the national competition.

The College of Science and Engineering mobilized students to take part and selected the participants for the competition in March. Students were enthusiastic about the competition, and 10 teams signed up for the provincial preliminary competition, with 15 professional teachers as their instructors.
The competition aims to foster students' interest and learning potential in physics and physics experiment courses, and to cultivate their innovative spirit and practical ability.It has held 22 sessions, with over 200 teams competing each year.
JNU's winning teams:
First prize: Neon team; members: Huang Xi, Gu Zhenya, Huang Jiawei and Jin Daming; instructors: Shi Tingting and Hu Cuiying.

Second prize: Magnetic Field team; members: Ma Xinyuan, Lei Runquan, Dan Zixuan, Zuo Qiong and Li Enze; instructor: Chen Ke.
(Ma's team won second prize.)
Second prize: Thermal Deformation team; members: Lao Jiayu, Huang Jiajun and Tang Shizhe; instructors: Cai Wanzhu and Fu Yong.
