The closing ceremony of the first phase of the Basic Teaching Skills Workshop for New Teachers and the opening ceremony of the second phase were held in the International Conference Hall on Nov. 4. Jointly organized by the Undergraduate School and the Teacher Work Department of the JNU Party Committee, the event was webcast.

In the ceremony, 9 outstanding units and 17 outstanding pairs of new teachers and their mentors were commended. Representatives of 4 outstanding units and 5 outstanding partners shared their teaching experiences.

Each workshop runs one year starting in July. It is a learning and practice platform built specifically to help new teachers consolidate and improve their basic teaching skills.

Wang Bing, a JNU vice president and dean of the Undergraduate School, gave a speech affirming the workshop's achievements in helping new teachers improve their basic teaching skills, promoting the teaching and research tutorial system, and stimulating the vitality of grass-roots teaching organizations.
