A Workshop for National Conditions Education in Huizhou was held jointly by JNU's Sihai College and the JNU Alumni Association from Oct. 29 to 31 for outstanding students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. It marked the establishment of the National Conditions Education Base for Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Youth built by JNU and the city of Huizhou. This workshop aimed to cultivate these students’ patriotism, enhance their understanding of China's culture and history, and strengthen their education in patriotism and national conditions.

Teachers and students in the workshop visited the Functional Manufacturing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Park of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Huinan), the Zhongkai Hong Kong-Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Base, and Xizi.com Science and Technology Co., Ltd., in Huizhou from Oct. 29 and 30 to cultivate their spirit in an atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship.

On Oct. 31, the students participated in the opening ceremony of the National Conditions Education Base for Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Youth and the Patriotism Education Base for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Students of JNU's Sihai College in Luofu Mountain Dongjiang Column Memorial Hall.
They visited the Memorial Hall and the Gehong Museum, and enjoyed the Luofu Mountain scenery. Liu Zhijun, a student from Macao, said he learned about the arduous struggle of the Dongjiang Column during the War of Resistance against Japan and was impressed by the original aspiration of compatriots at home and abroad to make unremitting efforts for national independence and prosperity.
