Focusing on JNU's achievements in the last three years, media including Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, Guangming Daily, China News Service, CNR News, Nanfang Daily, Yangcheng Evening News and Guangzhou Daily recently issued a series of blockbuster reports. Here is a summary:
The atmospheric chemistry innovation team led by Shao Min, dean of JNU's Institute of Environment and Climate, received support as a major project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China's 10 Million-Level program, the Innovation Research Group Project -- a historic breakthrough for JNU with the foundation. This is another major achievement of JNU's double first-class university construction in the last three years.

As a double first-class construction discipline of JNU, the College of Pharmacy has rapid development momentum. In the last three years, the college has made four major achievements in patent transfer agreements with listed pharmaceutical companies, with the transfer amount exceeding 1 billion yuan.
In recent years, JNU's ranking among authoritative universities internationally has continued to rise. JNU has reached a new high in the QS World University Rankings: 33rd among universities in mainland China. It has ranked among the top 500 academic universities in soft science for two consecutive years, and 23 disciplines have been listed in the 2021 world-class disciplines of soft subjects.

JNU disciplines listed among the ESI top 1% in the world have increased from 8 in 2018 to 13, ranking second in Guangdong. Among them, 8 disciplines such as chemistry have entered the top 5‰. In the last three years, the school has added 25 national or provincial level first-class undergraduate professional development sites.
JNU's project approval rate by the National Social Science Foundation has ranked among the top 20 in China for six consecutive years. In 2020, 45 annual projects were approved, ranking fourth among universities in China. The number of projects approved by the National Natural Science Foundation and the amount of funding both hit record highs.

To date, JNU has built 9 joint laboratories with 7 universities in Hong Kong and Macao, including one key laboratory approved by the Ministry of Education, 2 international joint research laboratories approved by the Ministry of Education, and 5 joint innovation platforms established by Guangdong and Hong Kong.
Centers for Latin American studies, Southeast Asian studies, Philippine studies and Indonesian studies have been approved as Country and Regional Studies Centers of the Ministry of Education, providing intellectual support for international cooperation in the Greater Bay Area.
As of September, JNU had signed 78 cooperation agreements with universities and research institutions in 27 countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
