In the list of national and provincial key teams for the 2021 Guangdong University and Technical College Student Volunteer Summer Culture, Technology and Health, announced by the Guangdong Students' Federation on Sept. 26, 22 JNU practice teams were named the national and provincial key teams, and one was selected as the Lighthouse Practice Team. 

The Lujiaowan National Unity Practice Group from the College of Liberal Arts was selected as a national key team. The team went to Tacheng, Xinjiang Province visited rural doctors, young volunteers, Xinjiang aid teams and Kazakh people to gain insight into poverty alleviation in ethnic minority areas and rural revitalization.

The Sheng Hai Party History Study and Practice Group from the School of Journalism and Communication was selected as the Lighthouse Practice Team. It went to Linyi, Shandong, and Jinggangshan, Jiangxi, to explore local Revolution Resources, and produced creative audio integrating sound and text, which was broadcast on media platforms including Himalayas, Gangzhen and Chinese Headlines.

In addition, 20 social practice teams, including the Youth Encouragement Project, a rural revitalization practice group from the College of Foreign Studies, were rated as provincial key teams.

This summer, JNU actively carried out the Activity on Three Kinds of Going to the Countryside for student volunteers. More than 50 schools' key teams and more than 800 JNU teachers and students carried out this activity through online-offline integration and linkage in nine aspects: learning party history, theoretical publicity, national observation, rural revitalization, civilized practice in the new era, national unity, supporting education and building dreams, health publicity and cultural preservation.
