A team from JNU's Department of Physics won second prize in the South China area final and third prize in the national final of the China College IC (integrated circuit) competition final of South China area in Fuzhou from July 23 to 25. The team was one of 128 teams that advanced to the next round, from schools including the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Shenzhen and Xiamen Universities.
Led by Dr. Ji Zhong and instructed by many other professors, the winning team was composed of undergraduate students from JNU's College of Science and Engineering.

The team's research project is to develop a single-pixel imaging system based on the V-6501DMD chip and perovskite photodetector, combining a DMD chip module based on large-scale integrated circuit technology as a spatial light modulator. The team developed a lead-free perovskite photodetector of high performance and high stability as the signal receiving end by Fourier four-step phase-shift single-pixel imaging algorithm to build a high-performance and low-cost single-pixel imaging system. The team, from the leading professor to the students, has published four high-quality SCI papers in this field on top journals, with total impact factor exceeding 35.
