I want to be a doctor as excellent as my father, said Zhang Junzong, a Jinan University freshman from Hong Kong. Embracing his dream, Zhang applied to JNU's clinical medicine major and successfully enrolled by the International School. He expressed delight when speaking of his being admitted. My father was a student at JNU, so I feel magical to study here, he said. He's my role model, and I hope to be a good doctor and to live up to my family's expectation.”

Zhang's father studied clinical medicine at JNU in the 1980s and never forgot the cultivation he received from his alma mater. Every time he mentions JNU, he is proud to say, JNU's clinical medicine major admitted only two students from Hong Kong in that year, and I was one of them!”

For his college life, Zhang has some simple ideas. He wants to do more exercise to keep fit, participates in school clubs to broaden his horizons and become financially independent by teaching violin.
I want to be a good doctor, and even more than just a good doctor, he said. He hopes to love his work and not only to cure disease with surgical tools and medicine, but also to heal patients' hearts with words.
The international and all-English teaching mode of JNU's International School brings convenience for Zhang's study, making it easy for him to bridge high school and university courses.
