JNU President Song Xianzhong and Party Committee Deputy Secretary Sun Yu visited Panyu Campus on Sept.5 to inspect freshmen registration, greeting new students and expressing appreciation to all staff members and volunteers on site.

Accompanying them on the inspection were he directors of the Management Committee and other offices of Panyu campus, as well as leaders of the Department of School Affairs, the Department of Graduate Schools, the Youth League Committee and other departments.

At the library, school leaders checked every freshman registration service window, handing out gift bags at the financial aid window along with encouraging words. After that, the school leaders asked staff members about policies to help  students with financial difficulties, stressing that it is important to take targeted measures to ensure that every freshman with financial difficulties can enter school successfully. 

Under pandemic control regulations, freshmen may enter the campus only after completing luggage disinfection; showing admission, travel and health codes; and having their temperatures taken under the guidance of the school security team.

As of Sept. 5, 3358 freshmen had been registered on Panyu campus. Next, freshmen successively engaged in the opening ceremony, entrance education, military training, freshman training camp and other activities to prepare for college life.
