Prof. Jiang Zhengjin of JNU's College of Pharmacy has been appointed by the internationally renowned publishing house Elsevier as editor of the Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, an authoritative international journal in pharmaceutical analysis. He becomes the first scholar from mainland China to be appointed as the editor since the journal was founded in 1983.

Jiang, vice dean of the college and a doctoral supervisor, has led more than 10 projects at the national, provincial or departmental level. He has published more than 150 papers in domestic and international academic journals, including Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Chemical Science, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Analytical Chemistry and the Journal of Chromatography A. He is currently editor of Frontier in Analytical Science, visiting editor of Acta Pharmaceutical Sinica B, and an editorial board member of journals including the Journal of Chromatography A, Current Analytical Chemistry, Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica and the Chinese Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis. Jiang is also chairman of the 27th International Symposium on Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, executive chairman of the 11th National Pharmaceutical Analysis Annual Conference and a member of International PBA’s standing committee.
