Prof. Bao Yanjun of JNU's Institute of Nanophotonics and his collaborators Prof. Li Baojun and Prof. Qiu Chengwei from the National University of Singapore have published their research on manipulation of optical field by metasurfaces in the internationally renowned academic journal Science Advances (SCI impact factor 14.136) (Sci. Adv. 2021, 7, eabh0365). The paper represents a significant breakthrough in the field. The team constructed a single-layer metasurface with maximal six degrees-of-freedom (DOFs) of the Jones matrix, breaking through the limitations of existing metasurfaces design strategy.
