Xia Quan, deputy secretary of the JNU Party Committee, vice president of the center's council, and executive director of its management committee, said all functional departments and collaborating units should further improve their ideological understanding. He said they should mainly focus on serving the overseas united front work from the higher perspective of cultural confidence and two Overall Situations – the broad strategic goal of national rejuvenation and the profound changes never seen in a century in the world. They should learn from other universities' experience and measures, he said, while applying them to JNU's own practical situation, strengthening system construction, and cooperating in related work.
