The research team of JNU's Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Institute of CNS Regeneration published a paper in Science China on June 7. It summarizes current progress and potential applications of In situ glia-to-neuron conversion technology in a non-human primate model, potentially paving a way toward future clinical trials.

The lead authors are Wang Qingsong, Li Wen and Lei Wenliang; the corresponding authors are Wu Zheng and Prof. Chen Gong. Also contributing were Dr. Chen Weiyi, Dr. Zheng Jiajun, Dr. Xiang Zongqin, Liu Minhui, He Qing, Liang Xu, Dr. Li Zhifei and Wang Tao.
