The ceremony of presenting the national flag to JNU by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality-Tiananmen Management Committee was held on May 28. FeiBaoqi, secretary and manager of the committee, presented the flag to Sun Yu, deputy secretary of the JNU Party Committee.
The flag was raised at Tiananmen Square on Nov 19, 2016, the day of JNU's 110th anniversary. To tell the national flag's story to alumni around the world and provide patriotic education, the flag is currently on display at the JNU History Museum.
Sun also attended the flag-raising ceremony in Beijing and visited the Monument to the People's Heroes with other JNU members, including JNU's national flag guard, representatives of overseas Chinese students and cadres in JNU's Youth League Committee on May 28.

Qi Siqi from Hong Kong and Shi Yuhui, an overseas Chinese student from Japan, both members of JNU's national flag guard, attended the flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square. They described it as their dream journey.
The activity was organized and implemented by the Propaganda Department of the JNU Party Committee and JNU's Youth League Committee. GDTV covered the event, and related reports were broadcast on GDTV's XINWEN LIANBO, Evening News program and its new media platform, Southern TV's Most News Today and Pearl River Channel's Today's Focus.
