The inauguration ceremony of JNU Zhuhai Campus Creative and Practical Education Development Fund and the launching ceremony of the new site of JNU's Entrepreneurial Lab were held on Zhuhai Campus on May 22. Zhai Jian, chairman of Leiting Games, a 2002 Zhuhai graduate in international economics and trade and one of the first members of the lab, donated 10 million yuan to the JNU Education Development Fund to start the fund and support innovative and entrepreneurial education on Zhuhai Campus.

At the ceremony, JNU Vice President Zhang Hong expressed his gratitude to the lab members represented by Zhai for their hard-working dedication to the society and their acts of loving and repaying his alma mater. He also affirmed Prof. Zhang Yaohui's achievements in carrying out creation, innovation and entrepreneurship education, and in cultivating innovative and entrepreneurial talents since he established the lab at the former Zhuhai College in 2003.

Zhai said he was establishing the fund to give back to the school as an appreciation, contribute to the university's talent training and create more value for the community.

Zhuhai Campus has a strong tradition of education in innovation and entrepreneurship. The lab has incubated a number of startups since it was established in 2003. Its program has won gold and silver awards in different categories of entrepreneurship competitions, spreading JNU's philosophy of entrepreneurship education throughout China and receiving close attention and favorable comments. Its students have been champions in high-level domestic and international authoritative competitions, including the National Student Entrepreneurship Competition, the Robot Contest, the National Electronic Skills Competition, the Mathematical Contest in Modeling and the World College Student Supercomputer Challenge Finals, bringing the school a good reputation.

Zhuhai Campus will implement innovation and entrepreneurship education from three respects: curriculum system, startup bootcamp, and scientific and technological innovation. It will also encourage students to innovate and start their own businesses with full use of the fund, and cultivate innovative talents to accomplish boost development through innovation and enhancing the employment through startups.
