The 20th Overseas Chinese Media Advanced Seminar was held at Jinan University on May 25. More than 30 overseas Chinese media executives from 26 countries and regions gathered for three days of training, after which they would carry out on-site investigation in Jilin and Shandong provinces.
This seminar was hosted by the State Council's Overseas Chinese Affairs Office Council and co-organized by JNU and China News Service.

During the opening ceremony, JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng warmly welcomed the participants. Lin acclaimed the overseas Chinese media for their excellent contribution to Chinese international communications, praising their work saying during the pandemic. He said they presented a disinterested introduction to China's anti-pandemic campaign; told moving stories about overseas Chinese, together with people around the world, fighting the pandemic; and made unique contributions to the fight. He also expressed his hope that every participant could learn and earn, acting as a qualified narrator of Chinese stories in the new era.
The three-day training consisted of lectures, seminar discussions and field trips.
