To nurture higher-quality talents, JNU's School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) held the 2021 undergraduate proficiency test in the field on May 21. It was the first time the school had given the test under the guidance of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The national-level examination consisted of a theory test and a skill test. The skill test included history-taking, physical examination, basic TCM operation and basic operation of Western medicine.

The test is jointly sponsored by the Chinese Medicine Physician Qualification Certification Center of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the National Chinese Medicine Teaching Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education. It is a comprehensive test to confirm that full-time TCM undergraduate students have mastered the necessary medical theories and clinical skills before they start clinical internships.
The school considers the test as an opportunity to review the quality of its TCM teaching, deepen the reform of education evaluation, and improve the quality of TCM talent training.
