A party led by Wu Weihua, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of the Jiusan Society's Central Committee, and Shao Hong, vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and executive vice chairman of the committee, inspected JNU on April 22. Jiusan Society members including Lai Ming, Cong Bin, Zhao Wen and Liu Xiaomei, and members of Guangdong authorities, including Zhang Shaokang, Guo Hanyi and Wang Dong, accompanied the inspection.

The society leaders affirmed JNU's achievements and characteristics after visiting the exhibition on JNU's history and achievements and watching a video of General Secretary Xi Jinping's visit in 2018. Moreover, they learned about JNU's school-running philosophy and the construction of double-first-class universities, especially the construction of scientific research and innovation platforms, and the training of overseas Chinese talents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. JNU President Song Xianzhong; Vice President Ye Wencai, who is also vice chairman of the Jiusan Society's Guangdong Provincial Committee; and Sun Yu, deputy secretary of the JNU Party Committee, accompanied and briefed the visitors.
