For three years in a row, Wei Zhongyu, a pharmaceutical student in JNU's International School, has ranked first in the comprehensive evaluation of the 2017 class and won the top scholarship for outstanding JNU students. He was recommended to Wuhan University to study for a master's degree without examination. He won first prize in innovation achievements and the Excellent Paper Award at the 12th session of the National College Medicine Forum. He is also deputy secretary of the Student Party branch of the International School on the Panyu Campus and has won multiple honors, including Excellent Student Cadre and Excellent Student.

Now he has won JNU's ninth 5A Guiding Program Award and Leadership Star Model Award.

Referring to the Leadership Star, Wei said the recognition from classmates and teachers was the greatest reward. Providing help to classmates and realizing self-worth in work is the most important thing, he said.
