This presentation can be called the 'coming-of-age ceremony' for all the students in the department,” said Dean Zhi Tingrong. He said he hoped that under the guidance, help and assistance of the judges and teachers, the Internet and New Media Department could find a unique, innovative and grounded project.
Liu Tao, the school's secretary, said the students had paid attention to hot social topics in their projects and designs, focusing on current issues by connecting their works with society and using all media platforms, which reflected students' product awareness and thinking.
Gu Hong, head of the department, said the school had offered many courses related to information technology while pioneering and insisting on the mode of full coverage of implementing the graduation project as the most important assessment of the undergraduates. He also said he hoped that the presentation would show students' sensitivity to acute social problems and pain points, connect academia with the industry, and provide multi-level talents to society.
Four academic experts and five industry experts were invited to form a defense jury to review and evaluate the works. The 10 teams made comprehensive use of integrated data, intelligent interaction and other technologies; focused on acute social problems; and committed to communication activities in the health and culture fields.
