Qi Chuangye, a graduate student in JNU's School of Literature and a member of the Jinan Territory Society, won the championship in the second season of Behind the Names, a cultural TV program produced by China Media Group. He was also the champion in the sixth game of the first season.
Designed to promote national culture, Behind the Names,with knowledge about place names as its theme, offers all-around exposure to the diverse features of the Chinese landscape from geography, history, language, literature and folklore. It not only attracted viewers to discovering the profound and splendid cultural heritage and various lifestyles behind place names, but also evoked their deep affection for their homelands.
In each game, more than 50 contestants selected nationwide competed through three stages to qualify for the “defense team” and then contended to become this season's final champion.
