JNU Vice President Hong An led a delegation to Guangzhou InnoCare Pharma Ltd. on April 13 to sign a strategic cooperation agreement to serve the high-quality development of the biopharmaceutical industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and promote the research, development and industrialization of new drugs. The two sides reached consensus on scientific research, talent exchange and industrial collaboration. Dr. Cui Jisong, co-founder, president and CEO of InnoCare, and Xu Hui, deputy director and member of the party group of the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City's Cooperation Office, attended the signing ceremony.

Hong pointed out that biomedicine is a traditional advanced discipline and key development area at JNU. The discipline group gathered academicians and discipline leaders; built many platforms at the provincial and ministerial levels or above, such as the National Engineering Research Center for Genetic Engineering Drugs; and made a series of important achievements, Hong said, while. InnoCare set up an excellent platform for biomedical innovation in Guangzhou. Both JNU and InnoCare were highly consistent with an extensive space for collaboration in scientific research, achievement transformation and talent cultivation.
Cui said innovation and talent had always been InnoCare's core strength, and the company had actively cooperated with universities and research institutions in scientific research. Through the integrated development of industry-university-research, it was committed to developing new drugs to treat malignant tumors and autoimmune diseases.
Under the agreement, InnoCare and JNU will further cooperate in related biomedicine, including the efficacy evaluation of innovative drugs and preclinical or clinic research. Relying on InnoCare's new platforms and JNU's talent resources, they will explore constructing a practice base for student internship or innovative entrepreneurship, as well as discuss multiple collaborative models to promote the industrialization of scientific achievements.
