He spoke about tea's edible, medicinal and drinkable value and explained the evolution in ways of drinking tea from the Tang Dynasty to the Ming. He also systematically interpreted the huge innovation by the Tang Dynasty tea expert Lu Yu who improved the boiling mixed tea with infusing tea and undergone big changes from physical needs to a tasting art, from daily behavior to a symbol of leveling up the spirit.

Later, Liu described the charm of aesthetics in Chinese tea from five aspects: tea utensils, tea leaves, tea seats, tea art and the tea realm. Tea seats and flower arrangement show the characteristics of traditional Chinese aesthetics respectively, featuring sedateness and decorousness without any brightness fading and lively, and as lively as the endless flow of Chinese history in a thousand years or the blooming dark green tea leaves on the brown trunk. The beauty of tea art comes from harmonious, calming and beautiful movements expressed by tea artisans.
Before the lecture, Zhao Weixin, a famous tea artisan, demonstrated tea art for guests closely watching and enjoying its glamour.
