The Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference China-Panyu District Investment Promotion Event took place in Panyu on March 30. JNU President Song Xianzhong and Vice President Hong An attended. During the meeting, JNU and the Panyu district government signed Framework Agreement on Collaboration Between Jinan University and Panyu District and planned to establish the JNU Life Science, Technology and Health Industry Park in Panyu.

Under the agreement, the two parties will focus on the development needs of Panyu District's strategic industries, jointly promoting the park's construction through the cooperation of the government, industry, schools and research institutes. To promote the transformation and implementation of school scientific and technological achievements, Panyu District will give priority to the construction with preferential policies such as supporting talents, subsidies for scientific research projects, and tax reductions and exemptions. The district will make the industrial park into a domestic first-class achievement incubation base and high-tech industrial park to serve local economic and social development and support double first-class construction of schools.
