A team of JNU leaders, Party Secretary Lin Rupeng and Vice Presidents Ye Wencai and Hong An, visited YiPinHong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a listed biomedical company in Guangzhou International Bio Island, on March 10 to explore industry-education integration. The two sides reached a consensus on further cooperation in improving innovative research and development and applying scientific and technological advances. Also present were YiPinHong Chairman Li Hanxiong, Vice Presidents Yang Dongling and Deng Dadong, and Ke Rongqing, a JNU trustee who is honorary president of the JNU Alumni Association.

Lin gave an introduction to JNU's history, discipline construction, development of major scientific research platforms, and commercialization of advances in science and technology. He also pointed out that the university, upholding the policy of building double-first-class and high-level universities, had accelerated its efforts in promoting major research platforms by creating a cluster of academic subjects in biomedicine and pooling high-level talents instructed by academicians. In this way, the university has achieved new biomedical successes, including the transfer of JND30266 and other major innovation results. On behalf of the university, Lin said he expected the two sides to carry out deep cooperation and make headway in cooperation by establishing a mechanism for long-term industry-university-research collaboration
Li described the company's progress in medical innovation, drug R&D and product system. He said that JNU's advantage in academic resources fulfilled the company's innovation demands and that he looked forward to further cooperation in product R&D and results application. Li also encouraged joint efforts to implement university research achievements in Guangzhou, contributing to higher-quality development of health industry.
The JNU team also visited the corporate headquarters, its innovation R&D center and industrial zones.
