After the meeting, the forum officially opened. Nine young teachers and postdoctoral researchers from JNU's College of Life Science and Technology shared their individual and team research.
With the theme Water Ecological Degradation and Ecological Restoration and a focus on the theory and technological frontier of water ecological restoration, the attendees exchanged opinions on such important issues as river ecological restoration and assessment; lake ecological process and restoration; reservoir eutrophication ecological prevention and control; wetland ecological restoration; and ecological degradation and restoration of estuarine and coastal areas. They also exchanged views on the theory and technology frontier of ecosystem evolution; the impact of human activities on water ecosystems in the context of pollution stress and climate change; microbial technology of reducing water pollution; ecological engineering technology; and ecological restoration technology of biological/ecological manipulation.
The meeting was held live both online and offline, with more than 130 participants offline and more than 4,700 hits. Representatives of universities, research institutions and eco-related technology enterprises participated.
