The 14th Five-Year Plan is the first five-year plan since China has built a prosperous society and embarked on a new journey of building a modern socialist country in an all-around way. The plan is of great significance to higher education in China and Jinan University. Making a scientific plan for JNU's development in this period requires us to have farsighted vision in understanding the new environment while learning to focus on the current situation, so as to deeply grasp the key issues and main contradictions in the school's development. In this way can our plan be more practical and more suitable for JNU. We will focus on six aspects:

First, we should cultivate innovative and well-rounded talents based on moral education.

Second, we should focus on the initiative to build and develop world-class disciplines.

Third, we should accelerate the cultivation of high-caliber talents by improving our educators' competence.

Fourth, we should promote innovation-driven development and speed the commercialization and application of innovations.

Fifth, we should make JNU's contributions to the construction of society in all aspects. 

Sixth, we should greatly improve JNU's management ability with faculty members and students at its core.
